Pat Patterson Hauck

Resume

Pat Patterson Hauck has studied photography and design at Rochester Institute of Technology, International Center for Photography, Maine Photographic Workshops and Parson’s School of Design. Her introduction to infrared photography totally changed the way she looked through the viewfinder. This film required special handling and testing, but the surrealistic images that resulted were compelling.

Pat began working in a digital darkroom in conjunction with her freelance graphic design work. In 2002, she expanded her infrared studies by experimenting with various digital cameras and filters, eventually having cameras physically converted to infrared to make the exposure times more manageable.

Exhibiting infrared prints in juried Art and Photographic shows on Long Island, Pat has earned awards from Huntington and East End Arts Councils. She held a one woman show at North Shore Public Library in February 2009 and was selected to participate in the New York Foundation of the Arts MARK09, a statewide program for visual artists.
